This is a post for my upcoming course at Drake University on elementary science teaching. This course will explore research-based strategies for teaching science to elementary students. The methods will be linked to our goals for students and our understanding of how people learn. This course will not simply be about learning a bunch of activities, this course will prepare you to design and carry out meaningful lessons for your students.
While students will be required to engage in the ongoing discussion, I hope many of you in the online PLN will also choose to participate and help my students gain greater perspective and depth in their reflections.
